SwimX is built to be simple and respectful. Here's exactly what we collect, where it lives, and how you can delete it.
What we collect
The times you log, the stroke and distance for each, the names of athletes on a team and optional birth year/category. If you sign up, also email and name (handled by Clerk). If you use the app without signing up, we set a 'swimx_anon_session' cookie that ties your times to this device for 30 days.
Where it lives
Data in our PostgreSQL databases on Hetzner servers (Helsinki, EU). Accounts and sessions handled by Clerk Inc. No photos, no health data.
Who sees what
No third party sees your times. The only external service is Clerk, used solely to manage login and accounts. We don't sell or share data, and there's no ad tracking.
Your rights (GDPR)
You can view, correct, export or delete your data anytime. From Settings you can delete your account: we remove everything (DB + Clerk). For requests, email [email protected].
How long we keep it
Anonymous session: 30 days from the last logged time. Registered account: as long as you keep it open. Deletion = we permanently remove it within 30 days, backups included.
Cookies
Essential only: the anonymous session cookie and Clerk's authentication cookies. No ad tracking.
